I got THE best surprise last night. Phil had been out of town this week, and boy was I feeling the effects of having him gone. I wasn't expecting him back until late tonight because he was very busy in Wyoming. So last night I got #2 and #3 to bed, and #1 was still up with me. We were close to drifiting off to sleep a little after 10:00 when I thought I heard Phil's truck. I chalked it up to wishful thinking. Then a couple minutes later I heard the door open. Alarmed at first, I grabbed my cell phone thinking someone was breaking into our house. Then I put two and two together and realized.....Phil was home early!! It was one of the best surprises I've had in a long time. I didn't know he was capable of pulling off such a surprise. I didn't suspect a thing! We texted and talked a few times over the evening, and little did I know he was driving the whole time. I'm glad you are home, babe. It is much more fun around here when you are home!

what an awesome surprise! I wondered when you said you were going to get chili and then something about Phil. I would have been seriously freaked out though, thinking someone was breaking into my house!
Yes, that does skor major points! Way to go Phil! It's funny how nuts things can get when they leave. That is hilarious #1, #2 & #3 I was laughing so hard!

PS. Heidi...you are one tough cookie...I give you props for having a traveling man.
I can say I know what it feels like to be left without a husband, its always the best to know they are coming home, it must have been even better having a surprise.
Hooray for Phil!! What a great surprise. I bet he was smiling the whole ride home. Okay Berry Family, when can we see you!?
That is so nice. I bet you were thrilled and I bet the kids were too!

I LOVE THAT! The other night that happened to me. Jo was suppose to be driving from Idaho to Saint George. It was so late when he hit Salt Lake he decided to stay...or so I thought. 2:30 in the morning I am freaked cause I hear a car...but I knew it had to be him. Its the best. Hope you guys are doing good!
Alright, now I really want to see a good birthday post with all those awesome faces painted. I want to tell my sister-in-law about it, and need some pictures to show! We had a great time! THanks again!
