A little help here....

I'm trying to figure out what to do with all of my boxes and discs and stacks of pictures. I need to do something with them so we can enjoy them now and later. I can't scrapbook them all- I would never find the time, though I may digitally scrapbook some of them. We really have TONS of fabulous pictures. Does anybody have a good system out there? How do you all keep up on your pictures and memories? How long do cds and dvds last? Are my images protected forever on them? Doubtful, so I really need to get more caught up on printing my pictures. If anyone has any fabulous tips, feel free to share.

Ok, I don't have the time but even if I did I would save it and do what I do. The photo albums they sell at Costco fit so many pictures but next to each picture gives about 6 lines to describe the picture and all those fun details you want to remember that sometimes with scrapbooking you just don't get in. I know they had them a few months ago but I swear by them. I love little to hear stories about your cute family. I also love that I was the little girl who got to spy on you and Phil on one of your first kisses on the Sego lily door step!

I agree. Go down to Costco, get some albums (I think they come in sets of 2) and just start stuffin' in the pictures. It will get rid of the clutter, make them easily accessable to look at, and keep them safe. P.S. The albums are very sturdy, sleek (black), and will look good 20-30 years from now (meaning-classic looking), they would look good on a bookshelf.

Hey I was just there about 5 days ago and they still had a ton. They also come in brown too.

I don't have any tips, but I am glad I got read Jenny's tip--I should do the same thing! Good luck organizing--at least it will be the best when it is all done!

Happy b-day to your sis!

That is a good question. I've been thinking about it. The good thing about digital pictures is that you only have to print the ones you really like. Perhaps you could print all the especially good ones and put them in albums for now and then save the others on some kind of media. I have mine organized on my computer by month and year--but you may have a better way. Then, when they come up with a better form of storage (which will inevitably happen) transfer them to that.

Digital picture frames are also a pretty cool way to actually enjoy your pics.
