Digging for fossils
Being transported through time, and as Abram hoped - to another dimension.
The last half hour in the car was rough- thank goodness for suckers!
This last week we went for a business trip with Phil to Vernal. I know, it doesn't sound like too much of a destination, but we had a great time! We stayed in such a nice hotel, and the kids LOVE to stay in hotels. We didn't get there until after ten at night, and two of the three had little naps in the car, so they were raring to go when we got to our room! Let's just say they were a little excited. The front desk called to say they received a noise complaint about us. In my kids' defense, this wasn't even their best work. They are capable of being MUCH louder. At least the threat of having to sleep in our car if we were kicked out of the hotel quieted them down a bit.
They had a ball at the breakfast bar. What kid doesn't love self-serve fruit-loops? The ladies running the breakfast were speaking Russian, and Abram walked Alex over by them and whispered something in her ear. She got a little smile and yelled at the top of her lungs to them, "PRIVET!" (which means "hi" in Russian.) She got a little embarrassed and ran back to me. I got a good laugh at him feeding her Russian lines to talk to the ladies.
While Phil was working, we spent the afternoon at the Dinosaur museum. Abram's favorite part was the"Time Portal" through the past. He spends a lot of his time every day imagining himself being transported through portals, so he was in heaven.
The best line of the trip came from Alex, "You gotta love Vernal!"
