The Berry Tribe goes to the Wild Wild West
Avi barely survived the trauma of his first roller coaster experience. Dad had the time of his life (as is apparent in the video) and is very proud to show this footage of the death-defying bravery exhibited by his man child -- 6-year old Abram.
Hallie Abram and Alex on the new Kon Tiki raft adventure ride. Thanks be to the Scandanavian archaeologists for a cool name for a miniature version of the tidal wave. If that didn't make any sense you may have to look up Kon Tiki on Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kon_tiki.
Father and Son on the White Roller Coaster.
Sammy was a good boy. By the time we left he was getting rummy from the the sensory overload.
Heidi looking beautiful as she dotes on her chilren in Kiddie Land.
Thanks to the Layton Companies and some faulty wiring at the Lagoon Midway, the Berry Tribe will likely get two gratis Lagoon trips this year. And yes, that is a good thing. Lagoon was as Avi has put it - Lagoonarific. People watching seems to be as much fun as the games and rides. It was discussed whether Lagoon is a magnet for the malcontent, pierced and tube-topped of society or possibly the tatoo-convention that you see at Lagoon really is representaive of the crazy world we live in. At any rate, I love time spent at Lagoon and am looking forward to getting back soon.
If you were one of the "lucky" few to have witnessed a transformer explode into a ball of smoke and flame somewhere between The Spider and Wicked around 2pm this afternoon, then you weren't too surprised to see the power go out for a couple of hours. Before they got the park back online, in the spirit of true customer service and to thwart a riot by the gang of soaking wet preteens and their parents who were forced to wade their way out of the Rattlesnake Rapids after a power failure shutdown the flume somewhere under the 2nd mill wheel, Lagoon management offered up a free bounce back pass to all ticket holders. As soon as the masses where given the good news, they divided up into three groups: 1)die hards who are accustomed to outages at Lagoon who simply remained in line knowing that eventually the power would get fixed and they'd have a sweet shot at being in the first 2 seats on Colossus 2) once-a-yearers who saw their chance for a free bounceback in 2-3 weeks and noticed that if they left now they could still catch a movie 3)beat-tired families without the strength or the heart to tell their kids that Lagoon was closed and we have to trudge out to the van and drive home - defeated in our attempt to ride everything with a 42" minimum height requirement. We fell into the third group were suckers and put our trust in the always-competent maintenance crew at Lagoon, knowing full well that the rides would be back online soon, or at least we could see another fireball as the high voltage transformers continued their firework show - so much better than last year BTW.

It looks like you had a great time. I always thought that it was some kind of whacky, parallel universe.
I love the video of Avi, that is priceless!! Glad the kids loved it, maybe we'll go when you guys bounce back!
Loved the video...I wish we were there...maybe the bounce back.
That video of Phil and Avi killed me. I can't stop laughing how excited Phil was and how terrified Avi was. Classic.

All Saturday I was pretty sad that I didn't work at CEntry anymore...

I LOVE Lagoon! I haven't been forever, but keep telling Matt we need to take our boys when we are in Utah.
That rollercoaster video made me laugh out loud--so funny! Poor Abram:).
I haven't been to lagoon for probably 15 years! I love the wild west picture of you guys. I want to go there just to do that! My kids keep asking to go...maybe this summer! Hope to catch up with you soon!
