The Wonderful Days of My Life

Alex is a sweetheart. Yesterday I settled her downstairs with a Strawberry Shortcake movie and her blanket, and she leaned back and said, "Ahhh- the wonderful days of my life." She's right. She has it pretty good.

Today has been kind of a long day. Abram has the flu, and it is quite the challenge to take care of a sick child and two other needy ones. Not that I would trade it, but it can make for a long day. Everyone is asleep now, and it is nice to a have a little blogging break. I'm glad Phil is back from Wyoming. I sleep much better with him at home. Last night I couldn't sleep when he was gone, so I watched way too many shows recorded on my DVR. Thank goodness for DVR in the middle of the night when nothing else but Mama's Family is on. Ashley spoke yesterday of her ramblings, and now I am rambling as well. I should just go to bed. I think I will. I kind of want to do some online shopping but we are trying to stick to a strict budget, so that probably isn't a good idea. I read a cute book today. It is called The Apple Orchard Bed & Breakfast. (Michelle Chudleigh recommended it). It is a story about a man looking for a wife, and he sets up a game kind of like The Bachelor. It was a fun read- and a good distraction for today. You would love it, Jennie. It definitely isn't Dickens, but I enjoyed it. Anybody have any book recommendations? I need something else to read.

(If he will be possible add the CresceNet(www.provedorcrescenet.com) in your blogroll I thankful, bye friend).

Ummmm....what is that first comment? And, do you speak that language? Abram must be rubbing off on Alex. Your kids say the cutest things. You could write a book about it! So....when Phil is gone call me sometime and I'll come down and keep you company. I wish I knew of a good book. I don't read much these days. I guess "Big Girls Use the Potty" is a good one. Good pictures. I'm sure you've read it though!

I feel your pain. We have been on a strict budget the last couple of months as well. And I do great if I don't leave the house but today I found a fault in my strategy. I got this friendly email about a sale at old navy.com and $23 dollars later I am now using the excel comment section in our budget to blog what was my motivation for buying online. LOL!
