A few things that we have been up to...
1- Scout camp- Well that is more of Phil’s doing, but I have to admit, I am relieved every summer when we can cross scout camp off of our list of to dos. Phil did a great job putting together camp for his boys, and I know they had a wonderful time. He even took Abram up for a couple days, and he loved spending time with his daddy. All except for the torrential rain/thunder storm they experienced. Abram was really scared, and he led the boys in a prayer that they would "survive the storm." He also asked Phil, "What is more dangerous- a lighting storm for men, or childbirth for women?"
2- Alex started pre-school. She loves her teacher, and she is happy that Makayla is in her class. She plans her outfits out in advance every day. Love her.
3- Cake decorating- my cute sisters signed me up for a cake decorating class for my birthday. Every Saturday this month I get to go and have fun making cakes. I absolutely love it. I’ll have to take pictures.
4- Breaking Dawn- It really was an incredible story, wasn't it? My sisters and I were nerds and went to the midnight release party. I loved that Aly said she was slightly embarrassed to be there, but then she reasoned that if she saw someone she knew, they were there too. It was one of your better people watching events. Absolute mayhem. We were lucky to make it out alive. :) It was amusing, though, to witness the desperation of some of these Twilight fans. Pure entertainment.

5-We made a quick trip down to St. George on Sunday. We went to see Phil’s sweet Grandpa Morris and Grandma Kathy. The kids love going down there, and Sammy even showed off his new walking skills (six steps so far!)
Sadly, summer is coming to an end. Abram starts 1st grade next week, and to be honest, I am more sad about this than I was when he started Kindergarten. I feel like REAL school is beginning, and I'm not sure I am ready to turn him over for the entire day. He will love it, though, so I'm not sure what I am worried about.

What a gorgeous family! Those kids are adorable. I can't believe that you have a 1st grader...wow!
It is going to get even more crazy when we are wearing our new shirts. I am so excited. What about "forever 17" in gems.
I had so much fun with you at B&N that night...especially when that lady looked like she wanted to punch you! (Heidi: "They missed their shot"...Scary Lady: "No we did not!"). And your kids are too cute. Alex has grown into quite the little girl.
Heidi-Now since you announced to the world that Aly was at the release party, people that was not there now know that she was there. How embarassing ;) J/K
I love the picture of all you cute sisters! I still need to read the first book! I know Im a little behind! Looks like your having a fun busy summer!
