Headline: "Layton Construction brushes aside 70 Years of Child Labor Laws in Secret Vernal Utah Sweatshop"

Alexandra came out to Vernal with me today. She was a big help and all the guys got a kick out of her singing songs and sucking on tootsie pops everywhere she went. It wasn't until we pulled into the hospital parking lot that she realized what coming to work with daddy meant. She asked which hotel she was going to be waiting at while I was in my "Bernal work trailer". No such luck. Work is work and dad was here to get some things done. She was a good sport. I probably violated a number of OSHA regulations by having her follow me around, but I kept her away from the heavy equipment.
Our project is coming along. We're getting ready for asphalt out there which means we're nearing the finish line. Our MRI is up and running and even made the front page of the Vernal Express. I would insert a hyperlink here, but it was a really lame story with an even worse picture. The MRI specialist was reading the high resolution scans with his eyes closed.
It was a great time spent with a very talkative little friend and I'll always remember it.
