Christmas List

My Dad sent this to me and I thought I'd give it a whirl.

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Definitely wrapping paper- no question about it. Although if someone is giving me a gift, I won't be too picky.

2. REAL OR FAKE TREE? I would like to say real, but with little kids, fake is much easier.

3. When do you put up the tree? The first of December.

4. When do you take the tree down? After New Years Day.

5. Do you like eggnog? Not even a little.

6. Favorite gift received as a child? My hot pink phone when I was in 2nd grade.

7. Do you have a nativity scene? Yes- I love it. It was a gift from my Mom and Dad.

8. Hardest person to buy for? My Dad and Phil's Dad.

9. Easiest person to buy for? My kiddies.

10. Worst Christmas gift you ever got? I've never gotten a bad gift. We always had the most incredible Christmases growing up.

11. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mail, but if I don't get on top of things I'll have to resort to email cards.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? Meet Me in St. Louis

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? After Thanksgiving

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? No.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Michelle's German Stollen Bread

16. Clear lights or colored on the tree? I think colored are the most fun, although for some reason I have clear ones.

17. Favorite Christmas song? Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, although Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas" gets me so excited for Christmas.

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Stay home

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Yeah Buddy. (and no, Buddy was not one of them.)

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Either one, but it has to be one of the two.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Morning. And you have to open the Stockings first.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? Fighting the crowds at Walmart.

23. What I love most about Christmas? Spending time with my family. I love unwrapping the ornaments to put on the tree. I love seeing the kids get so excited about Christmas. And it is a nice perk to be able to "remind" them not to get on Santa's naughty list. I love making Gingerbread houses and cookies for the tree. I love wrapping the kids' presents late at night with Phil.

Love your list. Love the picture. It'll be a great Christmas. Can't wait for the Durham Film Festival. And it's a good thing it comes before Sundance!

Good thing you complimented Michelle's stollen and your folks gifts. That's the best way to keep 'em coming. And I agree, wal mart is already bad enough with out the holiday crowds.
